BDA sets up control rooms
Bangalore, April 18, DHNS:

The Bangalore Development Authority has set up control rooms for the impending monsoon to help citizens living in areas that may be affected by floods and other rain related problems.

A control room has been set up in each of the four divisional offices of the Authority and will be manned by an Engineering officer supported by an Executive Engineer.

Each of these control rooms have been provided with one earth, one tractor, vehicle, one diesel pump set and 10 officials deputed to assist.

BDA Commissioner has already instructed the officers to identify flood prone areas under BDA jurisdiction and entrusted the work of desilting, declogging and repairs of culverts and roads so as to ensure smooth flow of rainwater.
