Miyapur to get bus terminal

Hyderabad, June 28: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) will come up with a bus terminal on 55 acres at Miyapur on the Miyapur-Kompally intermediate ring road connecting NH-9 and NH-7.

The terminal will have 200 bus bays and accommodate two lakh passengers

The HMDA commissioner, Mr B.P. Acharya, said, “The terminal will have bus bays, idle bus parking facilities, parking for two, three and four wheelers, drivers’ rest rooms/dormitories, budget hotel, food courts, service centres, fuel stations, shopping and commercial spaces, etc.”

The HMDA held a meeting with the state road transport corporation, the GHMC, the traffic police and owners of private transport carriers to consider their opinion on the matter, he said.
