GHMC sits on parking violationsHyderabad, Oct 24: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) hasn’t taken any action against several cases of parking violations and the traffic police have identified around 150 commercial complexes and other establishments where the parking provided is less than the prescribed 40 per cent of the total built area.
However, the civic body has not taken any action against these violations except for serving notices to the managements. The inspection was taken up following directions from the High Court and the Lok Ayukta.
A senior official of the GHMC said that all the establishments were given around three months to implement the directives. The traffic police and GHMC will re-inspect these establishments from Monday and will take action against those who have failed to provide the adequate parking.
