Staff Reporter | Bhopal

The celebration of Madhya Pradesh foundation day would be long remembered by the citizens of Bhopal with the launch of 105 luxury low floor buses adding new dimension to city public transport.

It is country's maiden initiative to operate such a large number of low floor city buses in public private partnership. The initiative comes from Bhopal Municipal Corporation. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan traveled in the new modern low floor bus from late Kushabhau Thakre Inter state Bus Terminus to his official residence.

A symbol of State's development and growth, the bus journey became a memorable one. The State BJP president Prabhat Jha, Bhopal Mayor Krishna Gaur, MLA Vishwas Sarang, Chairman of Poultry Development Corporation Shaitan Singh Paul Nagar Nigam Commissioner Manish Singh were also the co-passengers of the Chief Minister.

Chouhan waived hands to the people during the passage accepting their greetings. The enthusiastic citizen of Bhopal on the way responded zealously. The event of bus journey has reiterated Chief Minister's commitment to development. Chouhan willingly consented to be a commuter only to assert that he would fully support development plans and the initiatives meant for improving public facilities.
