A new wave of hop in Kadu Malleswara ward

BANGALORE: Expresso had published a report titled “Ward Wallows in filth”, citing the perfunctory attitude of the authorities concerned in taking up development work in Kadu Malleswara ward. The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) had taken up replacement of old sanitary pipes. However, they failed to asphalt the dug up portion of the road. The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike clarifies: The Assistant Executive Engineer of Malleswaram division has visited this ward and submitted a report on the various issues being faced by the residents here. BWSSB has dug up the roads in order to replace old water pipelines.

Once these water pipelines are restored, development of roads shall commence. Instructions have been given to BWSSB, to make use of WMM stones in order to ensure better quality asphalting as well as longer maintenance.

Other work including tarring of roads, segregation of garbage disposal and drain work shall be taken up shortly.
