The Water Board officials said chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has directed the finance department to sanction Rs 51 crore for the summer contingency plan. "We explained to the chief minister about the water levels at Osmansagar and Himayathsagar and measure being taken to pump water through emergency pumpsets at a review meeting at the CM camp office today," he added.

In fact sensing danger, the HMWS&SB officials were making arrangements to install emergency pumpsets at Nagarjuna Sagar reservoir.
