HYDERABAD: MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi has made a passionate plea to the government to help the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) clear the Rs. 400-crore loan it availed to implement the two phases of Krishna water supply scheme.
Making a mention during Zero-Hour in the Assembly on Thursday, he said the water board was suffering a loss of Rs. 8 crore a month, with its revenue accruals from all sources amounting to only Rs. 34 crore as against the expenditure, Rs. 42 crore.
He also sought release of Rs. 50 crore annually by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to the board.
