The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) will hold a grievance meet on Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 9.30 a.m.. According to a BWSSB release, the meet will be held at Vijayanagar OHT service station, (West-2 Subdivision, Ph: 22945186), Sahakar Nagar, (North 2 subdivision, Ph: 22945393); Agrahara Dasarhalli (North West-2 subdivision, Ph: 23235755); Byrasandra / Hombe Gowdanagar, (South West-4 subdivision, Ph: 22945149, 22945380).

BWSSB to supply water to 110 villages

The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) on Wedneday informed the Karnataka High Court that it would start supplying water in tankers to the 110 villages in the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) limits, where water in 168 borewells have been found to be unfit for human consumption.

The counsel representing the BWSSB submitted that they supply water in tankers to the newly-added 110 villages. Also, soon the BWSSB will pump the borewell water from these villages, purify it and supply to the villages as a short-term measure.But in the longer run, Cauvery pipeline wil be laid. A division Bench directed the BWSSB to concentrate on strictly implementing the rain water harvesting, improving ground water level and stopping water pollution. 

According to the Bench,  steps should be towards protecting lakes and stopping encroachments near the tank bed.

BWSSB water adalat

The BWSSB will hold a ‘water adalat’ of the central sub-division between 9.30 a.m. and 11 a.m. at the office of the Assistant Executive Engineer, Fraser Town on Wednesday. The grievances of consumers coming under Machalibetta, Fraser Town, Devara Jeevanahalli and Pillanna Garden service station limits are to be heard. Call 22945187 or 22945167 for details.
