BWSSB is holding a water adalat on Wednesday between 9.30 a.m. and 11 a.m. at the office of the Assistant Executive Engineer, Central-3 Sub-division, Frazer Town.

Over 50,000 people likely to be affected as taps to go dry today

More than 50,000 people are likely to be affected as the supply of drinking water from Khamtarai water tank will remain affected on Monday evening and Tuesday morning owing to some pipeline extension works, said officers of Raipur Municipal Corporation.

Water supply to residents of Khamtarai, Bhanpuri, Fafadih will be affected as the repair works are expected to continue till Tuesday afternoon. The supply is likely to be restored by Tuesday evening. According to the officials, laying of pipeline is proposed near Narayan Hospital in Krishi Upaj Madni in Pandri under Nagar Nigam zone 2. Water department of the civic body will interconnect a pipeline from the main pipe. Because of this, the water of the Khamtarai will be drained out and the supply will be restored after the work is completed.

Commissioner of city zone 2 RK Dongre said the work will begin near Narayan Hospital in Pandri on Monday. The process of inter connection is likely to take hours and the water supply to the residents of Khamtarai, Bhanpuri, Fafadih will be affected for nearly 36 hours. The civic body estimates that over 50,000 people will be affected by the pipeline works.

Water adalat held in Malleswaram

BANGALORE: Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) held water adalat of North East-2 sub division on Friday, December 13, 2013 in the office of the assistant executive engineer Malleshwaram. The meet was to settle the grievances connected to water billing, delay in giving water supply and sanitary connection, delay in conversion from non domestic to domestic connection and other related issues.

The disputes of customers of Kempegowda Tower, Kumar Park, Jayamahal, service station of North East-2 Sub division were held and settled at the Adalat. To clarify doubts, customers may contact telephone numbers of executive engineer North 22945124. Also, the water board held a grievance meet will be held on on the same day Coles PArk, HAL 2nd Stage and Devagiri sub divisions. Assistant Executive Engineer, Assistant Engineer, Water Inspector and Meter Reader of the sub Division attended the grievances related to water and sanitary problems.
