A parent said that three students were denied certificates by school headmaster
CHENNAI: Parents of students studying in Chennai Middle School (Urdu) at Korukkupet on Thursday sought the assistance of Chennai Corporation officials in getting the transfer certificates for their children.
A parent said that three students of the school, including his daughter, were denied certificates by the headmaster.
The school insisted that the children be admitted in Chennai Schools recommended by it.
However, Corporation Commissioner Rajesh Lakhoni said that the issue had been set right.
“We had only told our schools that they need not issue transfer certificates in cases where primary or middle school students wanted to join other Chennai Schools. Those wanting to move to other schools would be issued certificates.”
