Chennai Corporation officials seize 400kg rotten meat

CHENNAI: The Chennai Corporation seized 400kg of rotten meat from 11 meat stalls in and around Madhavaram on Wednesday.

Health department officials, including assistant health officer, sanitary inspectors and conservancy officers, conducted raids on mutton and beef stalls at Madhavaram, Moolakadai, Rettai Eri and Puzhal and confiscated 400kg of spoilt meat.

Later, they buried the confiscated meat at the Kodungaiyur dumpyard.
