Japanese team calls on Corporation officials
A team of Japanese officials from the Kangawa Prefecture called on the Coimbatore Corporation officials at the Corporation main office on Tuesday.
According to sources, the team comprising Sugano Takashi, Executive Director, Water Works Department; Watabe Shigeki, Planning Division, Water Works Department; Sato Atsushi, Chief Engineer, Planning Division, Water Works Department; and Kodama Shoichi, Assistant Chief, Planning Division, Water Works Department, studied the Coimbatore Corporation’s Pilloor drinking water supply project.
The sources said that the civic body sought technical support from the Japanese team in implementing the 24X7 drinking water supply scheme. The team would also call on municipal corporation officials in Chennai and Tiruchi.
