Anti-mosquito drive to be taken up

Tiruchi: Corporation Commissioner T.T.Balsamy has instructed civic officials to take up a drive to check mosquito breeding in the city. Chairing a review meeting with Corporation health officials here on Thursday, Mr.Balsamy directed the officials to intensify anti-mosquito fogging and spraying of larvicide.
Two additional sanitary workers would be deputed in rotation to each of the 60 wards for taking up the operation, he said.
Officials were also instructed to prevent stagnation of rain water in public places. Complaints regarding water stagnation and information regarding incidence of fever can be conveyed to the Corporation Health Officer over the telephone at 2410520, Mr.Balsamy said in a release.
