Residents told to pay water charges before October 15

TIRUCHI: Corporation Commissioner T.T.Balsamy has urged city residents to pay their water charges to the Corporation before October 15.
In a release, Mr.Balsamy cautioned that those failing to pay would face disconnection. The demand for the water charges has already been served and uploaded in the corporation website.
Residents can pay the charges at the computerised collection centres at the corporation office, zonal offices or the mobile tax collection centre. For domestic connections, Rs.100 would be the water charge a month for single connection, Rs.125 for two taps and Rs.150 for three taps. For non-residential connections the charge would be Rs.50 for 1,000 litres or Rs.500 a month. For industries, the charge is Rs.100 for 1,000 litres or Rs.800 a month, the release added.
