‘Ensure proper verification of roll revision'

TIRUCHI: Corporation Commissioner T.T.Balsamy has instructed the designated booth level officers (BLOs) to ensure full and proper verification of all applications received for inclusions, deletions and corrections in the electoral rolls.
Chairing a meeting with BLOs to be deployed in Tiruchi East and Tiruchi West Assembly segments for carrying out the field level verification, Mr.Balsamy instructed the officers to report details of issue of the Electors' Photo ID Cards in their respective areas. Cross verification should be done with the Revenue Department to avoid double entries. All BLOs should submit their photos for the issue of ID cards. The BLOs should inspect the polling stations and file status reports, he said.
