ISO certification for Tiruporur Town Panchayat
According to the director, National Ecological and Educational Development (NEED) Trust, Tiruporur, N.Ramachandran, the trust decided to forward a proposal for ISO certification for the Town Panchayat after taking into cognisance the various works / projects executed by the local body in creating basic amenities / facilities for the residents of the town as well as pilgrims visiting Sri Kandaswamy temple.
It was also impressed by the manner with which the Town Panchayat had implemented schemes / projects to protect environment and sustained its efforts to keep the environment clean and green for the past 3 years.
BSCIC Certifications Pvt. Ltd. (formerly BSC International Certifications Co.) has awarded ISO certificate to the Town Panchayat on August 10 after ascertaining that the local body was operating quality management system which complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 certification, with respect to provision of public utility service.
