Corporation grievances meet on August 5

A special grievances meeting is being organised by the Madurai Corporation at 16-Pillar Mandapam in Thirupparankundram here from 10.30 a.m. on August 5.

This meeting is for the people residing in Wards 75 to 100 in Zone-4, according to a press release from Corporation Commissioner R.Nanthagopal.

He said the civic body had been going closer to the people to address their grievances through an initiative called ‘Makkalai Thedi Maanagaratchi.’ Mayor V.V.Rajan Chellappa, accompanied by senior Corporation officials and local Councillors, would receive petitions from the people, and the grievances, whichever possible, would be addressed on the spot.

Issues related to house/property tax, name change, birth and death certificates, drinking water connections, underground drainage, streetlights, etc., will be looked into.

Mr.Nanthagopal asked the residents to make use of the meeting.
