Flyover work to be over by November
CHENNAI: Rangarajapuram flyover, a joint venture between Chennai Corporation and Railways at an estimated cost of Rs 24 crore, is expected to be completed by November this year, Mayor M Subramanian said on Tuesday. Speaking to reporters after inspecting the ongoing works at the site, he said, “Construction of the 962-metre-long two-way ‘Y’ shaped bridge with 8.5 metre and 6.5 metre width is progressing well and by November, all the works would be completed and opened for public use.”Construction works pertaining to the bridge by the Chennai Corporation have nearly been completed and the Railways is speeding up its work and would complete its part before November-end, Subramanian added.
