Corporation seals buildings for plan violation

COIMBATORE: The Local Planning Authority (LPA) and Coimbatore Corporation on Tuesday sealed the club house and shops at a gated community, east of Nanjundapuram Road. According to an LPA official, the project was accorded approval in 2003 for 160 residential dwellings, a club house and commercial complex.
The construction, however, was not as per the approved plan.
The source said there were deviations as the club house was constructed on a canal. The commercial complex was constructed encroaching upon the parking space. It also exceeded the approved area.
