Water supply likely to be hit in some areas

Metrowater plans to
carry out interconnection work
CHENNAI: Water supply may be affected in areas around Gandhi Nagar and Kotturpuram on Tuesday as Chennai Metrowater plans to carry out interconnection work on the existing main water pipeline at Pallipattu headworks on Tuesday and Wednesday.
A press release here said that during the interconnection work, water supply in parts of division 151, 152 of Area X B (Gandhi Nagar and Arunachalapuram), parts of division 138, 139 and 141 of Area IX (Kotturpuram, Little Mount, Raj Bhavan, IIT Madras, Shriram Nagar and Kalikundram) might be interrupted on Tuesday.
