S M Khatri, a 1999-cadre IPS officer, has been sent on deputation to
the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC). He will join as a deputy
municipal commissioner, said municipal commissioner Guruprasad
Mohapatra. Khatri, currently deputy commissioner of police (zone 4) in
the city, has been placed under the Urban Development Department.
Earlier, IPS officers Shivanand Jha, Upendra Singh and P P Pandey have
worked in the AMC.
