Kanpur Municipal Corporation warns against unauthorized advertising
KANPUR: KMC on Monday issued warning to city advertisers who had advertised their products on walls of government institutions and private houses. Municipal commissioner D K Singh stated that boundary walls in the city are full of unauthorized write-ups, paintings and wall chalking. He asked the advertisers to remove those advertisements otherwise municipal corporation will white-wash them and recover the cost incurred either from the advertising agency or the advertiser.
Singh also stated that there is practice of pasting posters and hanging banners without prior permission from the corporation. “Several advertisers are putting up banners and pasted posters without permission. They should remove them as they are illegal,” Singh added.
