KMC to repair Tala tank
Kolkata,
13 December:The KMCwill shortly repair the damaged portion of Tala
tank. Mr Firhad Hakim, minister for municipal affairs and urban
development department, said that the project would be funded by JnNURM,
and a detailed project report has already been sent to them.
He said the tank has nine-mega gallon capacity and four compartments.
“Tank would be repaired phase by phase for uninterrupted water supply.
The project cost is Rs 54 crore,” he said.
The JnNURM wants to know which certification agency will certify the
quality of the steel for repair.A senior official of the JnNURM said the
state government would appoint the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation or MN
Dastur and Company for certifying the quality of the steel.
