Kulasekarapatnam gets civic amenities

Civic infrastructure is being augmented at Kulasekarapatnam, a coastal town in the district.
The
works have been taken up under Tamil Nadu Village Habitation
Improvement (THAI) scheme. A water sump at an estimate of Rs. 4.35 lakh
and overhead tanks were being constructed at the town which comes under
Udangudi panchayat union in Tiruchendur taluk.
Collector
Ashish Kumar visited Kulasekarapatnam and reviewed the civic works. He
inspected the work on construction of 30,000-litre overhead tank near
Muppidathi Amman Temple, being constructed at a cost of Rs. 3.55 lakh,
and roads being laid at Vadakkur and near Veerakaliamman Temple at an
estimate of Rs. 4.77 lakh and Rs. 4.78 lakh respectively.
A
road is being laid between bypass road and Thiruvarul High School at a
cost of Rs. 5.5 lakh. A water tank with 60,000 litre capacity behind
Mutharamman Temple, and a sanitary complex off the beach were being
built under the assistance of Infra Gap Filling Fund. Mr. Kumar
interacted with a beneficiary of Green House scheme at Vadakkur.
