Maradu municipality, Corporation to join hands

It was also aiming to give special emphasis on development of tourism in the area without disturbing the ecological balance, Devarajan said while briefing the media here.

He said the civic body will give importance to industrial development. At the same time it will give special importance to the growth of agriculture sector also, he said.

“The municipality will ensure that all sorts of agricultural activities, including kitchen gardens and fish farming, will be encouraged,” he said.

Devarajan said he will consult the Kochi Corporation authorities while developing the inland waterways connecting the municipality with the other parts of the city.
