Mayekar is MMC’s new vice-chairperson

MARGAO: Dayanand Mayekar was elected unopposed the vice-chairperson of Margao municipal council (MMC) at the elections held on Friday.

The elections were necessitated following the recent ouster of Bertha Cardozo from the post of vice-chairperson through a no-confidence motion moved against her by 14 councillors.
