Mayor cautions officials
Mayor Mohammed Majid Hussain instructed the GHMC
Commissioner Somesh Kumar to initiate action against the officers, who
failed to redress citizens’ grievances at their level.
Mr.
Hussain, who received 39 grievances in face-to-face programme on
Saturday, observed that a complaint such as missing manhole cover need
not be redressed by the Commissioner and it was the duty of the ground
level functionary. If the grievances were settled at the level
concerned, then there was no need for citizens to make rounds of the
head office, he said.
