Mayor, deputy to be elected on Apr 23
BANGALORE: The election of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) mayor, deputy mayor and eight standing committee chairmen will be held on April 23 and the first meeting would be presided over by Regional Commissioner G M Dhananjaya, Bangalore.
The elections to the mayor, deputy mayor and the standing committee chairmen’s posts would begin by 10 am.
The BBMP officials have been intimated about the proceedings of the meeting, said a BBMP press release.
While the election to the mayor’s post is reserved under the general category, the deputy mayor’s post is reserved for an SC candidate.
