Mayor distributes Pongal gifts
Coimbatore Mayor P. Rajkumar distributed Pongal gifts to
conservancy workers at the Corporation main office in Town Hall on
Tuesday.
According to a release, he distributed bags
containing rice, jaggery (gur), ghee, cashew nuts, turmeric powder and a
few other items to 2,875 workers at no cost.
A bag cost Rs. 290.
Commissioner
K. Vijayakarthikeyan, Deputy Mayor Leelavathi Unni and Deputy
Commissioner P. Gandhimathi were present during the occasion.
