Mayor introduces 7 low floor buses in city
conditioner low floor buses were put on service here on Monday. The
buses ran from RRL square to Misrod between 8 am to 11 am.
Mayor Krishna Gaur inaugurated the dry run of the buses. Further, Gaur
along with CEO of City Link Limited Chandramoli Shukla also travelled in
the buses and the Mayor inspected the bus facilities, bus stops and
BRTS corridors. Chandramoli Shukla informed Mayor Krishna Gaur about the
buses and the facilities to be introduced for the citizens. Gaur
reviewed the works from Misrod to RRL road. She was informed about the
progress in the ongoing work for bus stop, road marking and electricity
arrangements and other facilities as well.
Expressing her satisfaction on the successful dry run of the low floor
buses, Mayor said with the new air conditioner buses, the BMC would
facilitate the citizens with a better and secure public transport
system. She further said that to provide the citizens with better
facilities, the BMC is carrying out various development works in the
city and assured that in the coming years the citizens would be
facilitated with better public transport system. Further, Urban
Administration and Development Minister Babulal Gaur would inspect the
dry run of the four new air conditioner and three non air conditioner
low floor buses on Tuesday. He would review the ongoing works at 8:30 am
till 11: 30 am.
Besides, Chandramoli Shukla informed Mayor Gaur about the distance
between the bus stops, the time taken to cover the distance, bus stops
and other important factors. He highlighted the movement of the buses
would be tracked through the GPS system. The data of arrival and
departure of buses at every stop would be collected which would help in
deciding the schedule. The citizens are overwhelmed with the launching
of air conditioner low floor buses. Later the Mayor also interacted with
the citizens.
