Mayor orders opening of renovated sanitary complex
Work on 4-lakh litre overhead tank at Jaya Nagar reviewed
Mayor A.Jaya has ordered opening of the renovated sanitary complex at Karumandapam crematorium complex.
Crematorium
She
gave the direction to the corporation officials during an inspection of
development works in ward 45. Ms.Jaya inspected the amenities at the
crematorium and the sanitary complex on its premises.
The sanitary complex has been renovated at a cost of Rs.6 lakh.
She urged the local residents to ensure that the sanitary complex was maintained properly and cleanly.
Ms.Jaya
also inspected the progress of work on the construction of a drinking
water overhead tank at Jaya Nagar as part of the ongoing drinking water
supply augmentation scheme for the city. The 4-lakh litre capacity tank
is being built at a cost of Rs.9.80 lakh.
She also
visited the sanitary complex at Chinna Milaguparai and repair works on
the drainages in the area and directed the corporation engineers to
complete the works before the onset of monsoon.
Executive engineer R.Chandran and K.Abishekapuram zonal chairman R.Gnanasekar were present.
