Mayor plans to make city hoarding-free

Karthika Reddy said there was a need to sensitise citizens on civic sense by adhering to rules and regulations. Even though the bin-less system was introduced, it would take sometime for results to show. The mayor said the statue of former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy will be unveiled inside the GHMC head office on December 4. Regarding statues of Mahatma Gandhi and BR Ambedkar put up by TDP corporators, she said portrait of Gandhi will be put in the council while Ambedkar portrait will be installed at the office entrance. She said as the Standing Committee did not give approval to the Gandhi and Ambedkar statues, the GHMC commissioner had to take necessary action.
