Special Correspondent
COIMBATORE: Mayor R. Venkatchalam has made yet another appeal to commercial establishments in the city to give prominence to Tamil on their name boards, in view of the World Classical Tamil Conference to be held here from June 23 to 27. The Mayor had already made this appeal at meetings of the City Development Committee held to discuss infrastructure works for the conference. In the latest appeal made on Monday, he has asked all these establishments to put up boards in Tamil before May 31. The first display of name should be in Tamil only. The next could be in English and then in other languages.
