MCD control rooms to work 24×7 in rains
NEW DELHI: With monsoon expected to arrive soon, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi has made its zonal control rooms as well as central control room functional 24 hours. People can lodge their complaints related to waterlogging, fallen trees, manhole covers, repair of potholes, dangerous buildings, etc, with these control rooms.
Said an MCD official, “The control rooms are equipped with requisite manpower and material resources and have been geared up to attend to public complaints at the earliest and provide redressal.”
The phone numbers for central control room are 23212700, 23220010, 23220016, 23220037.
According to the MCD, it has already completed desilting of all its 1,500 drains twice this year and the city should not face any waterlogging during the rains. Said an official, “We have also set up 200 pumps at sites prone to waterlogging.”
