Metrowater promises supply
Maintenance work at Nemmeli desalination plant will not affect supply of drinking water to residents, Metrowater said.
Water
from the desalination plant is supplied to south Chennai neighbourhoods
including Kotivakkam, Palavakkam, Thiruvanmiyur, Mylapore, Nandanam,
Velachery and Okkiyam-Thoraipak- kam.
Maintenance
work at the plant is being taken up in a phased manner once every week.
The first phase of maintenance will be completed on Tuesday afternoon.
Metrowater said drinking water supply would not be interrupted during
this period. Water would be supplied through other sources.
