MUDA to develop 2,000 housing sites at Chelyar
Chairman of Mangalore Urban Development Authority S.
Ramesh said here on Tuesday that the authority would develop 2,000
housing sites at Chelyar on the outskirts of the city.
He told presspersons that the sites would be developed on 200 acres of land and of this, 100 acres had been acquired.
Mr.
Ramesh reiterated that a multi-level car parking facility would come up
at the old bus stand at Hampankattta. He said that he was hopeful of
owners of two the buildings which had to be demolished for constructing
the facility cooperating with the MUDA. Earlier, a team of 12 students
pursing their Masters in Architecture at Cept (Centre for Environmental
Planning and Technology) University, Ahmedabad, made a presentation
before him on how Mangalore was changing.
