NDMC plans to regularise muster roll workers
From April 1 this year, all regular muster roll (RMR)
workers working in the New Delhi Municipal Council will be regularised
as group D employees under the Sixth Central Pay Commission scale. This
will be subject to availability of vacancies.
All the
temporary muster roll (TMR) workers, who have worked for 500 days, will
be considered for regular employment with the NDMC with effect from
April 1.
Jobs will be filled in a calibrated manner on the basis of vacancies.
In its council meeting on January 29, the NDMC took the welfare-oriented decision for its TMR and RMR workers.
According
to NDMC chairman Jalaj Shrivastava, as per this one-time decision, none
of the NDMC employees or RMR or TMR contractual workers will be
rendered ineligible on the basis of qualification and age as per the
Recruitment Rules.
