The water supply department of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation
in a release has stated that the water supply mechanism in the city
will be closed on Thursday for repair works related to the water
treatment plants in Sector 23, Nigdi. The civic water supply department
will distribute water to the city in the morning on Thursday.

The water supply in the morning on Friday is likely to be under low
pressure or irregular. The department has appealed people to use water
sparingly.

Free repair of leaking taps

Congress corporator Sunny Nimhan
has announced a drive to repair leaking taps in the city for free in a
bid to save water. People who have leaking taps at homes or spot any in
public places can call the toll free number 18002330555. A team of 60
plumbers and 180 workers are working to repair the leaking taps. The
service will be available for free till the beginning of monsoon, said a
statement issued by Nimhan. TNN.
