Nominations filed for post of North Corporation Mayor
Nominations for the post of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of
the North Delhi Municipal Corporations were filed on Monday, the
elections for which are scheduled on April 8.
Azad
Singh and Poornima Vidhyarthi of BJP, who filed their nominations, are
set to be elected unopposed Mayor and Deputy Mayor respectively, because
no other candidate is in fray.
Ram Kishan Singhal
and Mohan Bharadwaj of the BJP and Mukesh Goel of Congress filed their
nominations for the posts of members of the Standing Committee.
NDMC
also announced April 10 as the date for the election for the posts of
Chairman, Deputy Chairman and Member of Standing Committee.
