North Corpn will pay its power dues, BJP chief
Delhi BJP chief Vijay Goel has said that North corporation has
decided to pay its dues to power distribution company, North Delhi Power
Limited (NDPL) so that supply of electricity can be restored to North
Delhi that has been dark since Monday (March 25).
NDPL has claimed that it snapped the area’s supply of power after
the BJP-run corporation failed to pay over Rs 60 crore in dues.
Goel has also said that the party will soon file a petition against any power tariff hike in the capital.
Goel alleged that there was an “unholy nexus” between the DERC,
Delhi government and power discoms which brought about the the repeated
hikes in power tariff.
“It is beyond doubt that the DERC and discoms are acting at the behest of Delhi government,” he said.
