It is generally believed that the AMC lags behind in adopting modern technology. This has been proved wrong by the civic body.

The facility would be beneficial for the net savvy people and those residents who are in other cities of the country.

About 1,70,000 houses in the city have been registered with AMC. In the latest survey, it has been found that about 28,000 are not registered.

House tax is imposed on the house which are constructed within the municipal limits. It is a major source of income for the corporation. About Rs 12.5 crore were realised as house tax last year. The target for the current year is Rs 13 crore.

Head of the AMC tax department PK Mishra hoped that tax-payers would make use of the facility.
