Over a dozen proposals cleared by MiCStaff Reporter | Bhopal
Over a dozen proposals earned requisite clearances when they were tabled before the Mayor-in-Council (MiC) of the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) here on Friday.
Mayor Krishna Guar presided over the MiC meeting that cleared a proposal to lay feeder network at the Kolar water supply area under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM).
The sanction was also given to a proposal dealing with initiating a welfare scheme for the benefit of rag pickers in the city.
Proposals of laying water supply network at the Bajpai Nagar, Kokta Transport Nagar and gas affected Jeevan Jyoti Colony were also approved by the MiC.
Further, the MiC also okayed a proposal to award a paid parking contract around the Dusshera ground for the period of winter carnival.
The proposals dealing with purchase of four water supply tankers and the one dealing with floating offers to purchase 500 waste containers for different corners of the city too were approved at the meeting.
The MiC further gave its nod to cancel the nomination of Dussehra ground platform 36. The diameter of feeder main pipeline near Birla Mandir under the JNNURM project has been reduced to normal from initially proposed 1000 mm by the MiC.
A few proposals related to the project Uday also managed to find their way during the meet.
