The Greater Chennai Corporation has appealed to all eligible
tax-payers in the region to pay professional tax for the second half
year of 2016-2017 before March 31.

All
pay-drawing and self-drawing officers of State and Central Government
departments, public sector undertakings, autonomous bodies, other
institutions, boards, all employers in private sector, professionals and
self-employed persons should pay the tax.

The maximum tax is Rs. 1095 and the minimum is Rs. 100, according to a press release issued by the Greater Chennai Corporation.
