Portable toilets distributed
Mayor A. Jaya gave away plastic portable toilets meant
for children to 65 parents under Tiruchirapalli City Corporation’s model
scheme here on Monday. The toilets were distributed with a view to
bringing in the thought in young minds that they should desist from
defecating in open places. Corporation Commissioner V.P. Thandapani said
parents should constantly train children in using portable toilets.
It
was also the duty of parents to keep the children’s toilets clean, he
said adding that their cooperation was important for the successful
implementation of the scheme inaugurated in August.
