Rally to highlight rainwater harvesting
Students of various schools took out a rally here on
Thursday to create awareness among the public on establishing rainwater
harvesting structures in every house to improve the groundwater table.
Mayor
Vijila Sathyananth flagged off the rally at Vaagaiyadi Corner on the
South Car Street. The procession reached Chokkappanai Corner near Swamy
Nellaiyappar Temple. The students raised slogans stressing the need for
conserving water and preserving ground water level by creating rainwater
structures.
