Rs.201.71 crore for widening of 22 roads
The GHMC has taken up widening of 22 major roads at an
estimated cost of Rs.201.71 crore apart from construction of three new
major roads at an estimated cost of Rs.66.92 crore, Mayor Mohammed Majid
Hussain said here on Thursday.
The Mayor said the corporation was also
constructing RoBs at Kandikal Gate, Uppuguda and Tukaram Gate at a cost
of Rs.37.93 crore and also RuBs at Rail Nilayam, Safilguda and Uttam
Nagar while flyovers have been proposed at Tolichowki, Balanagar and
Amberpet 6 No crossroads. The other projects of the GHMC included sports
complex at Chandulal Baradari, Hindi Nagar, Laxmi Nagar and Shalivahana
Nagar and swimming pool at Amberpet. The corporation was also providing
electric crematoriums and remodelling the existing ones at an estimated
cost of Rs.6.71 crore, he said.
