Rs.80 cr. to be disbursed to 2,781 SHGs
The Urban Indira Kranthi Padam (IKP) has proposed to
disburse loans worth Rs.80 crore to 2,781 Self Help Groups (SHGs) during
2013-14, in Krishna district. The approval was accepted in the District
Consultative Committee (DCC) meeting held on Friday.
The
government has prepared plans to extend Rs.15 crore loans to 500 units
under Urban Self Help Employment programme. Under Urban Women Self Help
Employment programme Rs.3.75 crore loans would be sanctioned to 75
beneficiaries.
In Vijayawada Municipal Corporation
limits, the officials proposed to provide loans worth Rs.133 crore for
4,253 SHGs, and Rs.10 crore loans to 1,000 persons under Urban Self
Employment Scheme.
Speaking at the meeting, Collector
Budhaprakash M. Jyothi asked the officials of SC, ST, BC, Minorities,
Christians Corporations and Rajiv Yuva Sakthi to take measures to
achieve the targets given for the current year.
The
MPDOs, MROs, bankers and the officials of various departments should
arrange camps, which will help for identifying new beneficiaries and for
recovery of dues, he said.
