Set right leaking water pipeline, officials told
Otherwise, stern action will be initiated, warns Deputy Commissioner
Deputy Commissioner V.P. Ikkeri on Tuesday instructed
officials of the City Municipal Council (CMC) and the Karnataka Urban
Water Supply and Drainage Board (KUWSDB) to initiate steps to supply
drinking water to people. Speaking after visiting a water purification
unit and pump house at Kotagihalli, along with officials of the CMC and
the KUWSDB, Mr. Ikkeri said that there were complaints of contaminated
water being supplied. Residents were blaming negligence of officials, he
said.
