Several proposals get Mayor’s nod at MiC meetStaff Reporter | Bhopal
Over a dozen proposals were cleared at the meeting of the Mayor-in-Council (MiC) of the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) here on Wednesday.
Mayor Krishna Guar presided over the meet that accorded assent to a proposal to review the service level benchmarking under the Madhya Pradesh Urban Services for Poor (MPUSP).
Other prominent proposals to meet the approval of the MiC include a move to invite offers to prepare a comprehensive mobility plan to improve the public transport in the State capital.
The proposal for the establishment of a multi-level parking at the Moti Masjid also managed to earn the nod of the MiC, apart from the one dealing with purchase of six dumper tipper trucks.
Further, administrative sanction was accorded to proposals dealing with water supply system in 14 gas-affected localities of the State capital and developing of a foot over bridge.
A sum of around `92 lakh was sanctioned by the MiC for the upgradation and maintenance of slaughterhouse.
The other proposals were regarding the work under the centrally funded Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) and construction of roads under the PPP model in selected localities.
