Several Town Planner posts coming upPNS | Bhubaneswar
In a bid to have proper implementation of Urban Development Programme, the State Government on Tuesday decided to create 126 posts of Town Planners.
A decision to this effect was taken at a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the State Secretariat. It was informed in the meeting that more Town Planners have become a necessity in view of the growing population in every town and their expansion. It was decided that the new posts would be filled up through new appointments or outsourcing as per requirement. The Town Planners would be posted in urban local bodies (ULBs), development authorities, improvement trusts and Directorate of Town Planning. Besides, it was also decided that 222 more posts of Junior Engineers, Draftsmen and Admins would be created for the ULBs.
Among others, Finance Minister Prafulla Chandra Ghadei, Urban Development Minister Badri Narayan Patra, Chief Secretary BK Patnaik and ADC RN Senapati were present the meeting.
